Birthday Party tonight

Yesterday was my high school friend Angela's Hubby Alan's 40th year old birthday. To make it extra special, Angela had made a surprise small party for Alan. I was lucky to be invited to this event. Since it is Sunday, we started the party earlier at 6pm. When we arrive EL dining, I found this place to be very cozy and private. We have a party of 4 and there are probably a total of 30 guests they can fit for this restaurant. It was also unexpected to have a super nice harbor view.
Once we arrived, we were immediately served by the restaurant manager. He is a very experienced guy who had managed multiple restaurants in Hong Kong, including some very high end ones in mid level area. He welcomed us and brought us the food as well as wine menu.
As a wine drinker and looking at tonight's menu, Alan picked a bottle of Spanish red wine. From the prix fix menu, two of us ordered salad and the others ordered soup for Appetizers. Being a lamb lover, I ordered rack of lamb medium cooked as my entree.
Immediately after ordering, we were served with some fresh baked French bread. Outside was crispy and inside was very soft. I ate several pieces by dipping into their olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip.
The salad came out with very tender chicken and crunchy croutons on top of the lettuce. The portion was not too big, but it was good size. The croutons was freshly prepared in house, and it was mixed so well with the salad and Parmesan cheese.
The Next dish - stuffed portobello mushrooms came out to be another pleasant surprise. The cheese melted well inside the mushroom and the breadcrumbs on top was so crunchy. The arugala on the side was so fresh and blend well with a refresh taste of the dish.
As every dish was freshly prepared by their open kitchen, we waited another 15 minutes and our entrees came. Just from the look of the dishes, I could tell that it was perfectly cooked as medium. The lamb was originated from New Zealand. Meat was juicy, tender and moist, and it had no gamy taste at all. The fresh cut potato wedges was also baked nicely with some mild salt to go with the lamb. There was two pieces of lamb, and the portion worked out just perfect for me.
Lastly, they served us creme brûlée as dessert. The top was crispy coated with burned sugar. As Alan was not a big fan of dessert, I also finished his portion and ate two creme brûlée without hesitation.
There was also tea and coffee served at the end. However, as we were more focused with our wine and 8pm laser show on the harbor, we didn't drink much of the tea or coffee.
I say EL dining is a great place for small birthday party celebration with decent service and great evening view.
