It was back in February when I told “guai lo” we should do a dinner catch up, since we are with the new schedule we got more days off but we could only hang out on a Wednesday, but we have meetings everyweek so it is almost impossible for us to grab dinner together as a team Anyways, I told him I gotta take him to a Japanese BBQ place, he loves BBQ and Jap food so I guess taking him to this place can’t really go wrong. To begin with our meal, we have some greens, with their homemade vinaigrette! The veges are fresh making a good start for this meal. We just had four types of meats and formed a meat platter! Wagyu prime chuck (top left), prime karubi (top middle), pork belly (right) and the wagyu lean meat. The portion is generous so definitely for 2 of us. Comments? prime chuck will be a bit chewy, karubi is think and soft, lovely texture, salt is a good add on to enhance the taste! The port belly can do good bacon and the wagyu lean meat is a surprise, so juicy but not too fatty, love it! Meat are all in reasonable quality! Both of us need some carbs, and we had a stone pot beef and vegetable rice, we could add some chili paste and kimchi and making it a Korean style dish, guai lo liked it a lot and we had 2 bowls each So that’s all for the food, I had a apple vinegar + lychee soda and he got a bottle of sake, so the bill was about about 1300 in total, food is good, service …. I would say reasonable but can be better, anyways, we may consider doing lunch again.
