Didn't expect could visit La Cantoche, this nice and chic French restaurant again so soon. Second time to come, I become more familiar to go straight into the little dark lane; cute server & bartender still welcome everyone by his warm smile. This time, we gonna spent our relax night time with rose and red/white wine with new friends and PR friends at this informal media gathering.

Cold Cut Platter (Saucisson sec/Saucisson, Ham, Chicken rillettes, Cornichons)
Throughout the whole cold cut platter, Saucission is undoubtedly the highlighted dish! None of us can reject those little cute balls covered with snow-white flaky sausage skin. Slightly salty, rich taste, balanced mixture of fat to be greasy at the right point. What's impressed me that night? Chicken Rillettes, maybe it's too personal idea, coz I'm always attractive to those food put into cute containers, for example a glass pot. The salted chicken slices become drier in texture, but with olive oil it is glowing under lights. What I do is just put as much as possible onto the little slice of fresh-cut bread. Please forgive my greed :)

Pommes Noisette (Potato Balls)
Again, we are served by La Cantoche Signature, little potato balls, of course a lot of ketchup please. Those cute potato balls taste just crispy, hot, soft and mouth-melting from outside to inside. I can keep on take one by one, and feel never stop....

Goat's Cheese Spring Rolls
Quite fusion and creative dish in French cuisine. Goat cheese is a smart idea; those sticky & elastic milky fillings offers spring roll a such strong cheese taste, well presenting French cheese culture. On the other side, I do appreciate the spring roll skin to be thin and crispy enough.
That night, wines and snacks, laughing and topics are floating in the dark and grey space with the company of hip-hop competition video projected on the wall behind us. Although without any desserts, I still caught the chance to have a glimpse of those lovely home-made pies, cakes and loafs... it looks like a pear pie right? already half gone, who's so lucky to have it as sweet that night?
