I always think Causeway bay is a Asian culture concentration point, especially Japanese and Korean. So, to find a Japanese restaurant is not hard there, and that day I went to meet that big chimpanzee!
Japanese & chimpanzee, believe the two keywords work out to be 'Go Go Curry'. It's not along the street, you must know clearly where it locates and which floor it is mounted!
Yellow and black is the first impressive it gives me. Yellow for the all over color of the restaurant; black is the ugly-looking chimpanzee, why he looks so angry and... Crazy angry to kill someone!!!
The environment worth to mention is,
the ceiling - an extension of wall, making you feel like walk into and set in a cave! Is a modern, angry, city chimpanzee lives in a cave? And he's loving curry!!!
It's run like a fast food chain store, order and wait and get what you ordered from a getting-food window connecting kitchen and eating area. Quite Japanese!
Not many customers after lunch time in weekend, so we picked up the wonderful 4-seats table beside window with a high view. Except basic sauces, there's a tall big box of Japanese appetizer - Pickled Radish, on the table. It's perfectly pairing with curry for the fresh, crispy, juicy and a little cool taste. I love Chinese made similar one since my childhood! Yes! Since my childhood, that means I'm still obsessed to it, while there's not a lot choice in Hong Kong, and it doesn't tastes that yummy as hometown made ones.
The best sell is Deep Fried Pork with Curry & Rice (any single one can switch from rice to wu dong), and it turns out to be free to order one regular drink with curry. Good!
My choice is Deep Fried Shrimp with Curry & Rice. Actually the curry is the same; it's dark brown (not attractive looking, and easy to make you imagine other stuff). The texture is middle thick but not creamy, I can say its like jelly or frozen fat layer on the homemade Chinese soup (meat soup). Curry mixed with rice, but they two will not really come to ONE like curry dishes we always have in other places. You can still chew the rice coz it's middle-hard; I don't know how they make this curry, which just gives you a fresh & cool feeling in you mouth, like mint?! It's not sweet like familiar honey-apple something instant Japanese curry sauce. Such a special taste! But it's delicious; let me find the 4th type of curry (my own curry dictionary) listing after Indian curry, southeast Asian curry, Chinese/ Cantonese curry and Japanese sweet (honey) curry.
To choose between shrimp and pork, I prefer shrimp for sure. The pork is not bad, free-oil taste and soft, but it's not juicy enough and texture seems to be too soft that lack of chewy feeling. Shrimp is good, clean and complete shape covered with slim fried flour. It tastes very fresh, crispy outside but 'live' in mouth.
Tips for you,

if you just chase for its curry, remember do not order any 'Set'! Coz the set one is a smaller size of regular one, with a bowl of daily soup which is fair; and I don't like the deep fried pork is separately put into another plate instead of putting on the curry & rice.

It's a simple Japanese restaurant, thus they only have soft drinks like coca or nestle lemon tea and so on. Don't think they will give you a cup of milktea!
