Kitchen textiles comprise of the products and the fabrics used to produce kitchen products. Products which are primarily used in our kitchen both for functional purposes as well as decorative purposes are known as kitchen textile products.
Cotton: Tightly woven cotton is arguably the best material for dish towels because it is both very absorbent and leaves very little lint behind. It's ideal for drying dishes and hands and for handling hot cookware, as it's both durable and extremely heat-tolerant.
Kitchen towels can be found in a variety of materials such as linen, cotton and terry cloth. Linen – More traditional tea towels are made from linen. The soft fibers that make up linen are great for polishing delicate dishes and fine china without leaving any lint or risk of damage.
By definition, tea towels are only made of linen or cotton, whereas dish towels can also be made of terry cloth. Both types of towels, however, are roughly the size of a hand towel, ranging from 16″ x 28″ to 18″ x 30″.
Tea towels are traditionally made from linen, and they can even handle a bit of scrubbing around the kitchen. These days, tea towels are a flat-woven cotton fabric that isn't as absorbent as terry cloth towels.
Kitchen towels are generally tougher than your average bath towel, for instance. They are capable of absorbing, but they are also used to wipe up spills, clean off cutting boards, dry dishes, dry hands, and even hold hold hot plates and dishes.

Linen is derived from the flax crop, a plant that is extremely versatile in use. The seeds of the flax plant can be used for cosmetics, paint, and even floor coverings such as linoleum (mind = blown).
Add 2 cups of distilled white vinegar and your stinky dishcloths. Do not add any soap or other products. Let the rags boil for 15 minutes to kill odors and bacteria, mold, and mildew. Turn off the heat and let the dishcloths cool until you can handle them safely.
Chefs need tightly-woven towels for heavy kitchen use. This not only allows them to be more durable, but also enables them to be lint-free. Loosely-woven towels tend to shed after just a few uses, but tight weave designs prevent lint.
