Lichen planopilaris
Trichoscopy reveals multiple irregular cicatricial alopecic areas with perifollicular whitish-gray scaling associated with erythema, arboriform vessels, absence of follicular openings and follicular plugging (Figures 2, 3).
Verruca vulgaris dermoscopically display multiple densely packed papillae, each containing a central red dot or loop, which is surrounded by a whitish halo. Hemorrhages represent a possible additional feature, appearing as irregularly distributed, small, red to black, tiny dots or streaks [10,13,14].
Examining the wart. Scraping off the top layer of the wart to check for dark, pinpoint dots, which are common in warts. Removing a small sample of the wart and sending it to a laboratory to rule out other types of skin growths. This is called a shave biopsy.
What causes filiform warts? HPV causes filiform warts. There are more than 100 strains of HPV, but only some strains (1, 2, 4, 27, and 29) are known to cause filiform warts. If you contract one of these HPV strains, it doesn't necessarily mean you'll get filiform warts, though.

These warts are also called digitate or facial warts. They are harmless and usually disappear without treatment. However, many people prefer to remove them. Home removal may cause complications, so it is always best to have a wart removed by a doctor.
This is not true. The black or red-brown dots, that are sometimes visible in the wart, are smothered capillaries (the tiny blood vessels that turn fingertips back to pink after pressure is applied).

In most cases (9 out of 10), HPV goes away on its own within two years without health problems.
Plantar warts are small, rough growths on the feet. They usually show up on the balls and heels of the feet, the areas that bear the most pressure. This pressure may also cause a wart to grow inward beneath a hard, thick layer of skin (callus). Plantar warts are caused by HPV.
